Manitowoc County Fish & Game has been caring for our local lands and waters since 1907 — but our mission has never been just about the past. It’s about protecting the outdoors and related experiences we value today and ensuring they’re here for the next generation.

From maintaining public lake access and stewarding 450 acres of open land, to supporting youth outdoor education and conservation programs, we help keep Manitowoc’s outdoor culture strong, accessible, and welcoming. Whether you fish at sunrise, hike local trails, explore with your family, paddle the shoreline, or simply believe public access should stay public — you are part of this story.

We are a community of volunteers, families, outdoor enthusiasts, conservation advocates, and future stewards working together to:

Protect hunting and fishing rights in Wisconsin
Maintain and improve public access to local lakes and land
Support youth education, scholarships, and mentorship programs
Promote responsible conservation and environmental stewardship

You don’t have to be an expert outdoorsperson to belong here. If you care about clean water, open land, strong communities, and creating opportunities for young people to connect with nature, there is a place for you. Manitowoc’s outdoor future depends on people who value it enough to protect it and work together to continue the path.

Life Membership awards was given to the following people. On the left is Dan Cichantek, Larry Bonde Committee Select Member, and Karl Bonde. The FORWARD Endowment, the Manitowoc County trust established to fund projects focused on hunting, fishing, conservation, and related education, has announced its grants for the 2025 giving season . Manitowoc County Fish & Game has established a Memorial Park to recognize deceased members of our sportsmen’s clubs who during their lifetime supported the mission and legacy of conservation in our county. Purchase a Memorial Brick by filling out the form below. Please submit by April 1st, 2026.

Banquet Chairman hands President of Fish & Game a check from banquet proceeds

Manitowoc County Fish & Game Banquet Chairman Paul Tuschel (on the Right) hands Dan Dufek, President of Fish & Game a check for $50,000 from the proceeds of the 2025 banquet. The money raised by the banquet is the result of the many sponsors and members who work so hard to make the banquet a success. If it wasn’t for the many wonderful donors in the County, State and Nationally the success would be limited. Thank you to all of you who helped with the banquet.

Two Rivers Raider Anglers Fare Well in WIFA Mixed Bag Tournament

Approximately 20 members of the Two Rivers High School Raider Anglers ventured out onto local lakes in pursuit of gamefish and panfish while participating in the WIFA Mixed Bag 300. The tournament’s kickoff was quite sluggish for the team, but after making some adjustments, the Raider Anglers successfully caught several Northern Pike and two Bass. Over the last three weeks, more than 100 teams from across the state took part in the event. The Raiders concluded the competition
