Winners of the Top 5 Firearms at Banquet

Manitowoc County Fish & Game Prot. Assn. held their 44^th Annual Sportsman’s Banquet on October 24th at City Limits. The organization wishes to thank all the donors and supporters of the banquet for their contributions and hard work to make this a successful banquet. All proceeds from this banquet will go towards conservation projects in Manitowoc County.

GRAND PRIZE was a Browning X Bolt Pro Tungston 7mm Leopold Scope, Sling, and Case donated by Pozorski Hauling & Recycling won by Tracy Carviou

COMMITTEE SELECT PRIZE was a Marlin 336 SBL 30-30 donated by Cleveland Fish & Game won by Nick Bradley

PRESIDENT SELECT PRIZE was a Weatherby Orion O/U 20 ga donated by Just Orthodontics won by Robert Krause

VICE PRESIDENT SELECT PRIZE was a Stevens 555 O/U 16 ga donated by Lakeshore Family Funeral Homes won by Richard Lutze

CHAIRMAN SELECT PRIZE was a Stoeger M 3000 12 ga Camo donated by Greenstone Farm Credit won by Riley Dalebroux

Important Website Changes for the Future

We are in the process of making some important changes and improvements to our Manitowoc Fish & Game website. First, we have changed the main domain and contact to mantyfg.com. This was done to address issues some users have been having accessing the mantyfg.org site. While you can still access the site from the .org but we ask that use www.mantyfg.com moving forward. This will help address some changes coming for the future.

We are also pleased to announce that the clubs and directors of the organization approved a totally new website design at their September meeting. This site redesign is being completed by Seehafer Media and design work is already underway.

The new site is expected to launch in January. The site will have a new, cleaner look with more visual content. It will maintain much of the important information on the current site, while improving access and usability.

Watch for more in coming months!

MCFG Completes Major Study in Manitowoc County

Leede Research and Manitowoc County Fish & Game announce the completion of the Manitowoc County Conservation Study. 301 respondents completed online surveys addressing Conservation and Sporting Club issues in the area. This study was donated by Leede Research and is designed to address the future of Manitowoc County to continue the 115+ year heritage of conservation work in the area.

Manitowoc County annual launch pass can be purchased for $20 for residents and non-residents and sent to: Manitowoc County Planning & Zoning, P O Box 935, Manitowoc, WI 54221-0935. A window sticker will be mailed to you.

MEMORIAL PARK DIRECTIONS

Depending on the direction you are coming from, you will need to be on County Road C (which runs East and West from I-43 to State Highway 67). Take County Road C to Pigeon Lake Road and go South on the Road to Newton Road.

Pigeon Lake Road is East of St. Nazianz and East of Sinawa Road. On the corner of Pigeon Lake Road, and County Road C, is a Storage Unit Building, so turn there.

Once you turn onto Newton Road going East the address is 14107 Newton Road, you will see the Memorial Park sign. Check out the names placed in the memorial.

Manitowoc County Fish & Game Thanks Van Horn CDJR for Their Donation!

Michael (Platform Director) from Van Horn CDJR in Manitowoc and Dan (employee who suggested the Manitowoc County Fish & Game receive a $500 donation). This is a wonderful donation that will be used in the county to support conservation projects. We greatly appreciate the partnership between Van Horn and the Manitowoc County Fish & Game! Thank you!

New DNR Fishing Tournament Registration Requirement Takes Effect April 1

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) announced today that fishing tournaments that are statewide or regional in nature, seasonal without specific fishing dates or that have fewer than 20 boats or 100 participants will be required to register with the DNR starting April 1. Registration of these tournaments will be free of charge.

We Need Your Support in 2024!

Conservation in Manitowoc County is at an important crossroads. The majority of the 25 clubs that make up Manitowoc County Fish & Game Protective Association as experiencing the same issue, DECLINING MEMBERSHIP! This has been the pattern consistently since the pandemic and it literally threatens the long-term future of conservation in Manitowoc County.

We need EVERYONE to not only renew their membership to their preferred organization, but to sign up a friend or relative in 2024. It is particularly important that we engage younger people in the area so that the next generation of leaders are brought into our clubs. If you are not a member of an area club please consider joining. You can learn about all 25 of them on this site. Numbers are important as they create club support, but also give our organization critical mass and pollical clout to get things done.

Celebrate the History of Fish & Game

Manitowoc County Fish & Game Protective Association has been nationally recognized as one of the oldest sporting organizations in the country. Dating back to 1907, we have a rich history of making Manitowoc County a better place for sporting men, women and their families. Celebrate this rich history with FOOD!

We have found excerpts from a 1946 cookbook that has been regenerated in part below. We are also making available the special Anniversary Cookbook that Fish & Game compiled for the 100th anniversary in 2007. We hope you will download and enjoy these and our rich heritage!

We have redesigned this website to meet the needs of the sporting community in our area. You will find more information on whats going on in Manitowoc County and how you can get involved. There is education, history, links to resources and much more. We even have our own YouTube channel and will post video from meetings and events. This site has meetings and events and the locations of our clubs and properties. Let us know your thoughts on how to improve the site in the future.

For over 115 years one organization has protected the resources of Manitowoc County and represented the rights of sporting men and women. Founded in 1907 Manitowoc County Fish and Game Protective Association continues to fulfill its mission of “Conservation and Education Today for Tomorrow’s Sportsman.” The organization is recognized as one of the oldest conservation organizations in the U.S. and has been a model for groups across the country. Many individual clubs work together to make Manitowoc County the special place that it is for hunting and fishing. Manitowoc County Fish and Game has lived out their mission through:
